The Impact of Prioritizing Employee Well-being on Organizational Success

today's competitive work environment, prioritizing employee well-being drives
organizational success. The HR
department has a responsibility to foster the workplace by prioritizing
employee well-being, creating a positive workplace environment, enhancing engagement
and retention, and ultimately achieving greater success and sustainability in
the long run.
Factors that can
contribute to improving employee well-being in the workplace:
The Banking Standards
Board (BSB) United Kingdom (2019) has identified eight situational factors to
promote employee resilience and well-being (shown in Figure 1).

Organizations prioritize employee well-being by optimizing the work environment for physical health and comfort, including adequate lighting, ventilation, and sanitary facilities, along with integrating elements of nature to reduce stress. Effective workload management involves setting realistic expectations, deadlines, and task priorities, while fostering open communication and providing support to struggling employees.
